Wedding Recap #2 - The girls!

So, I started my day after Teddy dropped my off, at my mom and dad's.  My mom was turning her house into a hair and makeup salon for all us girls to get ready before the festivities got underway.  Little did I know that Teddy slipped my dad a gift to give me before he left.  So, as we were relaxing, waiting for the rest of the bridesmaids to arrive, I was given the biggest Tiffany blue box I had ever seen.

Teddy wrote me such a sweet card, but my stomach was churning a little wondering what he had gotten me.

So, I opened the box...

And I found a gorgeous watch.  I was totally floored.  It was beautiful.  Then I thought it was pretty funny that we both got eachother watches, except I think mine was a little nicer, I got Teddy a *ahem* Lego watch.  (Lego vs. Tiffany - I think he may have splurged a little much on mine).

I put it on right away and called him to thank him for the amazing gift.  He's just so wonderful.

After that it was time to get busy on the hair and make up, so I could meet my wonderful man at the end of the aisle in a few hours!

While I was getting my hair done, mom was getting her make up done.  I was lucky enough to have Chantel do my make up.  She's amazingly talented, and made all of us look fantastic.

Pretty soon my hair was done and it was time to sit in the make up chair.

I'm all set, just waiting for the flowers, photographer and videographer to arrive.

When the flowers arrived, I'm not sure why, but it all sank in that the wedding was happening that day.  I was so excited to see what the flowers looked like I was like a kid at Christmas.

My bouquet was white hydrangeas, cream peonies, stephanotis and blue delphinium.  It was just as I had pictured it.  I just loved it.

We had Nilam model the girls flowers since she was all ready in her dress and set to go.  The girls had blue hydrangeas, cream peonies, and green chrysanthemums.  They were so pretty and popped against their blue dresses.

Since shortly after this, the photographer arrived he started taking the pictures, so I don't have any shots of us going through that.  But I have to do a tribute to my girls that were such an important part of our day.

This is Erica.  She one of Teddy's younger sisters, and has been a great friend for many years.  I love her to death and am so glad to be part of their family.  I now have an adorable niece and a nephew since I married her brother.  Can you believe she had a baby just 5 months ago!

This is Andrea, my cousin.  She's been such a big part of my life, and we've been so close growing up.  I couldn't imagine her not being part of my wedding day.  I remember being part of her wedding, which I believe was 14 years ago.  Can you believe it?!  14 years and 5 kids later.  Wow.

This is Nilam.  We met at Grant Thornton, and have been best friends ever since.  She is always there when I need someone to talk to.  She always makes me laugh.  And I appreciate her agreeing to wear the blue dress even though she wasn't sure about the color :)  Always honesty with this girl!

This is Stacy.  I also met her at Grant Thornton, and we have also been best friends ever since.  But Stacy took it a step further and married my cousin, so now she's family too.  She's been such a great friend over the years.  I remember being part of her wedding and was excited to have her as part of mine.  Stacy always knows how to have fun, and bring the party to anywhere.

And last, but certainly not least, is my matron of honor, my sister Sara.  It was a no-brainer when I decided on who my matron of honor was going to be.  I knew that I had to pick my sister.  She's been such a great support system over the years, and who knew we'd get here with the constant fighting of our childhood.  I guess it's just a sister thing, but even though we fought like cats and dogs growing up, she is my greatest confidant, supporter, and friend.

So, how lucky am I.  I got to marry an amazing man who is perfect for me in every way, and have 5 amazing women stand beside me at this important milestone of life.  I love you all and thank you for all your help and support in preparing for the wedding and just in my life.

Next up the ceremony...
