Late 4th of July Recap

For the 4th of July, Teddy and I didn't have any plans since we had just returned from our Honeymoon (recap on that to come).  The weather was so perfect.  I can't remember a 4th of July with better weather, at least not for a long time.  So, we decided to call the family up to see if they were up for a spur of the moment pool party/BBQ!

We were excited that they all were able to make it.  The pool was ready to go and a perfect temperature of 85 degrees.  We had some side dishes brought by family and we made burgers, brats, hot dogs, and corn. It was standard 4th of July fare.

Everyone arrived and we ate our lunch, so that we could then spend the rest of the day in the pool.  We all had a ton of fun.  Even the dogs got into the pool for a little while.  But I don't think anyone had more fun than my niece Emily.  She was jumping, splashing, laughing, dunking herself.  She loves the water.

Teddy and I enjoyed visiting with everyone and telling them about the honeymoon. Nilam even stopped by on the way to another party.

After a few hours of swim time, people needed to refuel on food, drinks, well and some of us needed naps.

As dusk started to set in people started to head to their next party or home to watch their hometown fireworks.  We're glad everyone was able to make it!  What a great 4th of July.
