Bad Blogger Bad!

Well, it has been over two weeks and I haven't blogged anything. All I can say is that it has been C-R-A-Z-Y. Between work and wedding planning I've been a lot over my head and have had little time to breathe let alone blog about what I've been doing.
So, here is a quick recap to catch up.

Two weeks ago was memorial day weekend. Saturday was spent running errands and shopping. We made our final visit to the florist for the wedding. Picked up final materials for DIY projects for the wedding, and got some food for survival! Sunday, my parents, sister and her husband came over to help with said DIY projects.

We made petal cones for the wedding, which are just what they sound like. Paper cones that you fill with flowers for people to toss at us after the ceremony in lieu of rice. So, pending a sunny day on the big day, we'll be using these.

We also made boards for the table place cards so everyone is in alphabetical order and easy to find their spot.

Yea! More to cross off the list. While us ladies were inside, the men were outside opening our pool for the start of summery season. :)
Here's some pictures of them working hard.

Hmm... I guess they did do more than drink beer that day.  :)  The pool looks amazing, and we couldn't believe how clear the water was after the long winter.

Now if only it would stop raining so we can actually swim in it, it would be great! :)  Memorial Day, Teddy and I spent the morning working on the front yard before the sky opened up and poured on us.

This past weekend was just crazy.  I had to spend most of Saturday working (Boo!) But I did get to go for my final dress fitting.  (Yea!!)  My mom, sister, Aunt Diane, and Bridesmaid Stacy all came with.  Everything fit perfectly and I was able to bring it home.  I just love it!

On my way to my parents, my service engine soon light came on.  UGH.  So, Teddy took the car in right away.  Good thing too because something related to my fuel injector was cracked and leaking.  It's probably not a good thing to be leaking gas all over the place while driving.  So, I am without a car right now, but it should be fixed soon.

After the dress fitting I went home to work some more.  :(  And Teddy headed downtown to celebrate Little Jon's birthday.  Happy Birthday Jon!!  I missed seeing everyone there, but my parents were able to convince me to head to dinner to Flat Top with them.

After dinner I made all the placecards for the wedding.  It took a little while, but they are done!  Another thing to cross off the list (can you sense a trend?  The only thing keeping me sane is my ability to cross things off the list)

Sunday Teddy and I drove to Ruffled Feathers to finalize all the details and write the BIG check.  The coordinator there, Toby, is just the most fabulous to work with.  He has made planning there so easy and painless.  He never says no.  I think I could have asked for a tower of cheese in the shape of the Eiffel Tower and he would have asked how big?  (Sorry wedding goers - no tower of cheese, but there will be a cheese tray)  I know that the big day hasn't happened yet, but if working with Ruffled Feathers on planning is any indication I would definitely give them a glowing review.

Post draining our bank account Teddy set to work on the yard like a mad man. He trimmed, he edged, he mowed, he exterminated, he was a machine.  And I spent the day going through our loot from shower and wedding gifts figuring out what of our old stuff we were going to keep and cleaning/making room for all the new stuff.  WOW, was that a job.  I think I was in the kitchen for about 6 hours.  In the middle we got a pop in visit from Teddy's parents, his sister Jennifer and Aunt Penny!  While they could only take the chaos of my kitchen for a few minutes (just kidding!) it was so great to see Penny.  It's been since Christmas that I saw her.  We love you Penny!

Teddy and I ended the night watching the Hawks win!  Go Hawks!

Phew, I'm exhausted just writing this whirlwind of a wrap up.  That'll teach me to be two weeks behind!
