Friday night Teddy picked me up at the train station after work, and we went to dinner at Capri. It's a cute Italian place in downtown DG, and the food has always been very good. Teddy got the lasagna and I got the baked whitefish. Yum! We headed home after that for a quiet night. Saturday was going to be a big day.
I FINALLY was able to see my wedding dress and try it on Saturday. My mom and all my bridesmaids headed down to Judy's to have our fittings for all our dresses. I couldn't wait to get my dress on. I got to go first, so I slipped it on, put on the veil, slipped on my shoes and walked out to see the reaction. I was the first one to get to Judy's, so Erica (Teddy's sister) and Judy were the only ones there at the time. They were smiling as big as me. A few minutes later my mom and sister arrived and they were excited to find me already in my dress. It was a great moment and they loved the dress. Judy finished pinning my alterations, but I didn't want to take the dress off. I had to keep it on for the other bridesmaids to see when they arrived.
Do you want to see it?
Sorry, you're going to have to wait!!!!
Next my mom tried on her dress. It is gorgeous and she looks amazing in it. From the color to the touch of sparkle, she looked beautiful and I loved the dress.
Doesn't she look fantastic! Next Erica tried on her dress. Somehow Erica skated by without getting her picture taken. Hmm.....that's some sneaky work there Erica! We'll have to watch her on the big day to make sure she doesn't sneak out of the pictures. :) In any case, she looked fantastic in the dress! I was in amazement that she had Carson only a month ago.
Sara went next. I was so excited to see Sara in her dress. For anyone that has been following her blog, Sara has lost over 75 lbs since November. So, I couldn't wait to see her modeling her new figure in the dress. Here are some pictures of her.
She looks great! At this point the other bridesmaid started rolling in. Andrea brought with her the twins, Carter and Cole. I think they enjoyed watching us all in our pretty dresses.

They liked seeing their mom in her dress especially. And who wouldn't. She looked amazing. Can anyone believe she had these twins three months ago?
I know, amazing - right! Only two bridesmaids were left. Stacy went next, and then Nilam.
Don't they look great!!! This was the first time any of the girls saw the dress (besides my sister), and I was nervous they they would like the style and everything. I was so happy to see how fantastic they all looked in the dresses. I think the color is nice and bright and screams summer to me.
I enjoyed some champagne cocktails that Stacy brought while the girls were going through their fittings. It was champagne, cranberry juice with frozen berries floating in it as ice cubes. It was delicious. Here's me enjoying mine.
You thought you were going to see a dress shot didn't you....ha! I wouldn't bring cranberry anywhere near that dress! :)
While Judy was finishing pinning up Nilam, Stacy was having fun trying on the winter bride accessories. I thought it was too funny. Here's some pictures of Stacy playing model.
Too funny! After the fittings we headed over to the Plaza Club for some lunch. I had such a great time with the girls. I'm so glad they could all be there for this. It was so much fun! I am so lucky to have such great friends and family surrounding me.
And, if you've made it this far in reading the post, I guess you deserve some insight to my dress. Here are a few teasers.
There you have it!
After lunch we went to mom & dad's to celebrate mom and Teddy's birthday, but I think I'll make that a separate post. This was one exciting day. :)
